Anastasia Vatopoulou was born in Thessaloniki, Greece and graduated from medical school of Aristotle University. She has a PhD degree on the subject of HPV vaccination and sexuality of adolescent and young women.
She has worked as a rural doctor for one year and as a resident in General Surgery and Obstetrics and Gynecology for two years in Thessaloniki, before moving to UK, where she worked for four years in Ipswich, Mayday and Kingston Hospitals. She was accredited a specialist Obstetrician Gynaecologist in Greece in 2004.
She was trained in PAG in Athens by Prof. G. Creatsas and was appointed as an IFEPAG fellow on 2013 in Hong Kong. She did an observership as an honorary consultant for two years in UCLH with Prof. Sarah Creighton.
Since 2011 she is running a PAG clinic in the 1st Dept. of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of Aristotle University Medical School as an Academic Fellow and she is lecturing on residents and medical students on several PAG related subjects.
She has participated with lectures, oral communications and posters in International meetings, workshops and congresses and has several publications in Pub med. She was the president of the organizing committee in 3 Greek Congresses on PAG .
